Lucien A Marsan Jr., 83, passed away on July 22, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born on Feb 2, 1934, son of Lucien A Marsan Sr. and Beatrice (Fortin) Marsan.

He worked for 34 years as an engineer at Lucent Technology. He also worked with his wife Kay as a ballroom dancing instructor. After retiring, his interests included hiking and cross country skiing in the White Mountains. He enjoyed visiting waterfalls, covered bridges, and lighthouses. He also spent time wood carving songbirds and building jigsaw puzzles. He and his wife Kay spent time in Cocoa Beach FL.

He is survived by his Wife Katherine (Tomlinson) Marsan, son Stephen Marsan and wife Patrice, son Christopher Marsan and wife Lynn, daughter Rosalind Ryan and Russ Hinton, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 10:30am in St. Joseph Church, 40 Main Street, Salem, NH. Burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem.
