Leonard J. Kabala passed away in his home on May 8, 2019. Len, as he was know by his family and friends, was a resident of Salem, New Hampshire for over 50 years. He was born on January 19, 1937 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He graduated from the University Of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 1963 after serving in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. J.P. Kennedy Jr from 1955 to 1959. He had worked for E.I. DuPont Co. in Wilmington, Delaware before moving back to New England and becoming involved in managerial positions throughout the New England.
Len's interests included the stock market and visiting New Found Lake as well as the ocean with his wife Edie, of 47 years before her passing on April 7, 2009.
He is survived by his two children, daughter Karen Regan and husband Michael Regan and son Michael Kabala and his three granddaughters, Samantha Regan, Andrea Kabala and Abigale Kabala
Len is also survived by his two brothers, Donald Kabala and Tommy Kabala and his wife, Tami Kabala. He is also survived by his ten nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 4 to 6 PM. Funeral services will begin at 6 that evening. Burial with full military honors will be held on Monday, May 20, 2109 at 10 am at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscowen, NH. There will be no procession to the cemetery. Those who wish to attend are asked to join the family at the chapel at the cemetery no later than 9:45 AM.
