Laurent R. Moreau

Laurent R. Moreau, 75 of Derry, NH passed away peacefully at his home on September 23, 2019 surrounded by his family.

Laurent was born in Packington, Quebec, Canada. He was an area resident for a little over 60 years. Prior to his retirement he worked in tree removal, construction, and as a heavy equipment operator for Waste Management in Peabody, MA.

Laurent lived his life to its fullest. He always loved to party and loved being social. He was the first to lend a helping hand and was not leaving until the job was done. Some of his favorite pastimes included; family dinners, Thomas’ crazy fires, Thursdays with his sister Gisele, The Casino with whoever would go with him, scratch tickets, outside movie nights, watching his kids sporting events – especially JUDO, “helping” Mario in the garage, gardening with his girls, splitting wood, and along with many more….sitting on the porch. To know him, was to love him!!!

He had many passions in his life, but none greater than his kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He loved his family above all else, and they will miss him dearly.

Laurent is survived by his daughter Jacalyn E. Moreau-Zajac, her husband Mario Zajac, and grandchildren Antoni, Daizy, and Lucas; his son Thomas L. Moreau, his wife Jennifer Moreau, and grandchildren Thomas Jr. and Alexander; his son Laurent T. Moreau, his wife Heather Moreau, and grandson Xavier; his daughter Frances King-Savary, her husband John Savary, grandchildren Adam and Christopher, along with great grandchildren Jacobi and Kyra; his daughter Tracy Goodwin, her husband Jimmy Goodwin, his grandchildren Elizabeth, Elisha, and Autumn, along with great grandchildren Skylar and Cooper; his brothers Jean Paul and Beatrix; his sisters Gisele and Beatrice. Laurent is predeceased by his father Wilfred and mother Laurence; his brothers Alphie, Renaud, Placide, and Wilfred; his sisters Marguerite, Marie Marthe, and Jeanne Darc.

Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Saturday September 28, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079. Additional calling hours will follow on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the funeral home from 11:00am to 12:00pm to include a prayer at noon. Please also join us for a meal at the Relief’s Inn, 1 Market Street, Lawrence, MA starting at 1:00pm.
