Gail Carbone of Dracut, Massachusetts passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017 with her love and longtime devoted companion, David Allwood, by her side.
 
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Gail was the daughter of the late George C. and Pearl M. Lawlor of Pelham, NH. Raised in Massachusetts, she was a graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School.
 
Mother of three children, Gail (Carbone) Vacca of Illinois, Christopher Carbone (deceased) and Robin Carbone of New Hampshire. Grandmother of three children, Amber Finn, Christopher DePaula and Emily DePaula.   
 
Gail is also survived by her brothers, George Lawlor, Owen Lawlor, and her sister Beverly (Lawlor) Cockinos, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved sisters Judith Boutwell and Patricia Marion.
 
A consummate saleswoman, Gail enjoyed successful careers in both real estate and automotive sales in the Salem, NH area. An avid sports fan, particularly of thoroughbred horse racing, she loved to attend the races at Rockingham Park and cheer on her favorite horses, trainers, and jockeys. She also enjoyed rooting for her favorite New England sports teams, as well as playing a round of golf every now and again.
 
Later in life, Gail and her life's love, David Allwood, moved to Eastport, Maine where they along with their two beloved cats, Mittens and Red Kitty enjoyed many great years and memories along the beautiful seacoast before ultimately returning to reside in Massachusetts.   
 
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, January 11, 2017  from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Goundrey and Dewhirst Funeral Home located at 42 Main St. Salem, NH. Immediately following the visitation, burial will commence at Gibson Cemetary, 49 Marsh Rd. Pelham, NH.
