We intended to interview other funeral homes prior to making a selection. Rick met with us immediately, even though we had other appointments at other facilities which seemed to be treating our family's death as a business. Because Rick prioritized the first meeting and showed compassion, concern, and understanding, both my wife and I left that first meeting knowing we did not even have to interview any other facility. We both knew we wanted Rick and his staff to help us with this funeral.

Within a span of about a year-and-a-half, I lost both my parents. Al took care of all the viewing and funeral preparations for both within those time frames. He, and his assistant, Peter (another holy and Godly gentleman), set up the viewing room (and my beloved parents) with gentle love and care, fulfilling all of my even tiniest of requests. I had brought several posters, an embroidered quilt (that they hung on the wall within the room to display), clothing, and other cherished articles, indicative of my Mom and Dad’s individual personalities that I wanted tastefully placed within their respective caskets. Between the arrangement of flowers and the symbolic items scattered around the room, it all looked so beautiful! Their careful attention to detail showcased the touching tributes to each of them that I, and our family, wanted to convey. Al could not have been more professional or caring to the needs and desires to give my parents the services they both deserved. He took extremely difficult times in my life and jumped into action to coordinate and organize all the minutiae, thus, relieving myself of undue anxiety and stress. It is a comforting fact to have someone like Al oversee the specific needs, wants, and all the particulars involved during the most devastating time in your life as when you experience the loss of a loved one…and he has over 40 years of experience to get it done correctly! Take it from me, Al, simply put, is the best in the business, and a grieving daughter’s guardian angel, when you need one the most.

It was rainy and cold the day we buried my mother. My daughter and her family were here from CT. She was stuck in Boston traffic, and took a shortcut off of the highway to save time. Unfortunately, traffic was worse on the side roads. She called us at the cemetery crying, thinking she would be late, or even miss her grandmother's interment altogether. However, your staff said that we could wait until she got there, despite the cold and rain. They were all wonderfully patient, caring, and accommodating. I was very happy that our entire family could be together to bid our final farewell to my mother.

I was comforted in the way all the staff helped us understand that this is a part of life, and not to lessen the loss, but they were so understanding of our celebration of my mother's life. It was enjoyable being able to work with them all. Her service was beautiful, and we were able to visit in a non-formal way, which was our preference.
