Jessica T. Eiles – Salem, NH

Jessica Theresa (Fitzgerald) Eiles, 80 of Salem NH, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Salemhaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her two daughters Korie and Kristine, her grandsons Philip and Brendan and her dog Abbey. 

Jessica was born on October 6, 1943 to the late Timothy Fitzgerald and Elizabeth DeCecca Fitzgerald in Wakefield, Massachusetts. She was the middle of three children. James Fitzgerald, (deceased) and is survived by her younger brother, Timothy Fitzgerald, Jr. and his wife Joyce Deveau Fitzerald of Exeter, NH, and several nieces and nephews. 

Jessica was a graduate of the Class of 1961 of Wakefield Memorial High School where she formed lifelong friendships.  She earned her first job at Defiance where she spent many years working first at the Malden location and then the Lawrence facility in the sales department with her cousins Florence Martino and Donna (Palumbo) Pappalardo. Jessica prided herself on her lasting service as a pharmacy technician for more than forty years at Salem Pharmacy, Salem Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital and Perrotta’s Super Drug of Lawrence.  She always referred to her coworkers as “the best in the business” and truly enjoyed the friendships she created and kept over the years.

Jessica found joy in the simplest of pleasures.  Her favorite time of the year was the summer, where she could spend hours sitting on her porch talking with her daughters and family.   She loved taking daily walks with her dog, Abbey or walking Hampton Beach.  When she and her extended family would get together it was all about “the old days on Bartley Street,” in Wakefield.  The Annual Fourth of July Parade on Main Street, fireworks at Lake Quannapowitt and cookouts at her brother Jimmy’s house, were among her favorite memories.  She could regularly be found with her family dining on pasta and seafood dishes at Kitty’s in North Reading laughing about the crazy mischief she, her brothers and cousins created as kids.  

Jessica loved shopping, getting the 40% coupon deals at Kohls, JC Penney and Macy’s where she would convince her daughters there were great deals to be found. Her local favorite restaurants were T-Bones and the Willow Tree where she met weekly with her close friends celebrating birthdays, end of the work week or just each other’s company.

Overall, the company that was most dear to her was her grandsons playing the family card game, Scat, and Family Feud and Seinfeld Trivia with them. She also loved when they would stop in for a quick hello, snack, or a hug from their “Nee.” 

Most of all - those who knew her understood that her love knew no bounds, and she dedicated her life to caring for her two daughters, Korie and Kristine. Her memory will be held close within their hearts, forever cherished by all who knew her.   She leaves behind a legacy of family, friends and love.  

A private family celebration of her life will be held in the Spring to honor her. A Memorial Service for the public will be announced.
