Janet R. Miller

Janet R. (Renner) Miller, 81 of Salem, NH passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Mrs. Miller was born on May 19, 1942 in Methuen, MA, the daughter of the late Herbert Renner. and Esther (Vogel) Renner. 

Janet was raised in Methuen, MA and graduated from Methuen High School with the class of 1959. She was educated at Katharine Gibbs College and she was employed as a Legal Secretary until her retirement. Janet was a resident of Salem for over 60 years. She enjoyed to travel throughout North America and Europe. She especially loved spending time in the spring, summer and fall at her cottage on Newfound Lake from her early childhood until recent years. She loved to prepare holiday dinners and spend time with family in her home for many memorable years. 

Janet’s family members include her loving husband of 62 years, Richard Miller and her two sons Brian and his wife Susan of Derry, NH and Kevin and his wife Tracey of Bridgewater. Janet also leaves her grandchildren Owen Miller of Bridgewater, Nate Miller and wife Meg of Manchester, Josh Miller and fiancé Stevie Rudolph of Nashua, Tate Miller of Bridgewater and Megan Puglise of Nashua, and great grandchildren, Makaila and Scout Massey, Rafferty Puglise and Elyse Miller. She also leaves her brother-in-law David and his wife Karen of The Villages, Florida. Janet was also predeceased by her sister, Joan (Renner) Hering. 

Family and friends are invited to an hour of visitation on Friday April 12, 2024 from 10 am to 11 am at Goundrey Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.
