GOFFSTOWN, NH. - Rose Marie Korbey, 87, died on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Goffstown, NH. after a lengthy illness.

Born in Lawrence and educated in Methuen, she was a longtime resident of Salem, N.H. She worked closely with her sister Alice managing Alice Korbey’s Americana dress shop, first in Lawrence and then in Salem for 50 years.

She attended St. Joseph Melkite Church in Lawrence, and was a proud and devoted member of the Daughters of St. Joseph.

Marie, as she was called, was the youngest and last surviving child of the late Azar and Delia Korbey. She was predeceased by her sisters Alice and Florence, and her brothers Mitchell, Abraham John, Alfred and Alexander.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Mary Korbey of Salem, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. 

Our dear “Auntie Marie” will always be remembered for the incredible love she had for the entire Korbey family, especially her nieces and nephews. Starting long ago with the care of her mother, her kindness, big heart and good cheer were evident to all. In return, she was so very loved, and will be greatly missed.

The Korbey family wishes to thank the staff at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home for the extraordinary care and compassion they showed toward our beloved aunt. We will be forever grateful. 

At the family’s request, there will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Melkite Church, 241 Hampshire St., Lawrence, MA.  Burial in United Lebanese Cemetery, Andover will be at a later date.
