Rita (Parent) Langlais, 87 of Salem NH passed away on Saturday October 8,  2016 at MI Nursing and Restorative Center surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of the late, Wilfred Langlais.

Rita was the daughter of Simone and Alcide Parent and was a graduate of Lawrence High School.  She was a homemaker for many years and worked in the office at Oomphies Shoes until her retirement.   In her free time she enjoyed knitting and crocheting Afghans for her family.  Rita’s greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Rita will be deeply missed by her son, Mark and his wife, Linda Langlais of Plaistow NH; two daughters, Sharon Guay and her husband, Robert List of Derry NH, and Linda and her husband, Walter Nickerson of Pelham NH. Rita was the proud memere to Jason , Eric, and Craig Langlais; Joshua, Jonathan, and Jarod Guay; Nicole Hunt and Alex Cote and Great Grandmother to Molly and Ariana Guay, Emily, Kiera, and Lucy Langlais. She also leaves her sister Claire and her husband Francis Walsh of Windham, NH. She was also the loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours.  Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Saturday October 22, 2016 at 10:00 am in St Matthew Church, 2 Searles Road, Windham, NH 03087.  Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.  Memorial contributions may be made to MI Nursing & Restorative Center, 172 Lawrence St., Lawrence, MA 01841.
