Raymond “Ray” Edward Kenney, 88, of Pelham, N.H. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 20th, 2016 at Salem Haven Rehab in Salem, New Hampshire. He was a former resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Ray was born on August 27th, 1927 in Methuen, Massachusetts. He was a World War II Navy Veteran, Plank Owner of the U.S.S Midway where he served as a Gunner’s Mate.

He retired from Western Electric. He loved the Red Sox, the Patriots and his garden. He was active and enjoyed his time at the Pelham Senior Center in Pelham, N.H. He and his wife enjoyed spending the winters in Port Orange, Florida.

Ray leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Yvonne (Vancoillie) Kenney, daughter, Shirley Marsella and her husband Robert, sister Dorothy (Kenney) Manning and her husband Richard of Methuen, Mass, grandson Jason Marsella, great-grandson Ethan Marsella.

And many nieces, nephews and others who greatly loved him.

Ray was preceded in death by his father, James Kenney, mother, Anna Kilburn Kenney, brothers John and Robert Kenney. 

Services and committal ceremony at the Gibson Cemetery in Pelham, N.H. will be private. Memorial contributions are welcome and may be made out to the Pelham Senior Citizen Center, 8 Nashua Road, Pelham, N.H., 03076 or a charity of choice
