Patricia A. (Ketchum) LeVine

August 5, 1937 ~ August 23, 2017 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Patricia Ann (Ketchum) LeVine, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at the age of 80. Pat, with her family by her side, left us peacefully at the Merrimack Valley High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA. She had recently relocated to the Residence at Salem Woods in Salem, NH.

Pat was born August 5, 1937 in White Plains, NY, to Thomas Jefferson Ketchum and Mildred Lillian Polhemus. She grew up in Albany, where she attended Albany Medical Center School of Nursing. Upon graduating in 1958, she received her degree as a Registered Nurse. She was then employed by Albany Medical Center while residing in Albany. Pat practiced pediatric nursing, working for Dr. Raymond Cassidy, in Syracuse, for many years. She then worked for Dr. William Egan, DDS, and Oral Surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan.

Pat married Charles Hunt LeVine on December 1, 1961 at Calvary Methodist Church, Albany, NY. They were married for 46 years before Charles passed away in 2008. For most of their married life, they lived in Manlius, NY, where they raised their three children. They enjoyed travel, dining out, gourmet and wine tasting groups, classical music, and opera. They are now reunited.

Pat was incredibly social and enjoyed time with her friends, family, a good book, and a glass of wine. Her constant smile, desire to remain active, friendships and laughter will leave a void in the hearts and lives of her family and friends. She was very active in her many social groups, including a longtime bridge group and a Scrabble group. Earlier in her life, she was an active member of the Syracuse Symphony Guild.

She was a longtime member of the DeWitt Community Church, DeWitt, NY, where she was regularly involved in the Church's women's circles.

Pat is survived by her brother, Tommy Ketchum (Sally) Altamont, NY; her children: Anne Kiessling (Bill) Nashville, TN; Margaret Hopton (Robert), Middleton WI; Charles LeVine, Jr (Melissa) Windham, NH; her grandchildren: Will Kiessling, Elizabeth Hopton, Charles LeVine, III, Katherine LeVine, and Nathan LeVine; her brothers-in-law: Julian LeVine, Guilderland, NY and John Wurster, Newburgh, NY; several nieces and nephews, and countless friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister (Barbara Ketchum Wurster), and her husband, Charles.

Pat’s family would like to extend their sincere, heartfelt gratitude for the support and love she received from her friends, especially over the past couple of years, her doctors in the Syracuse area, and to the nurses and staff at High Pointe House, who offered Pat so much compassion, comfort and care in her final days.
