Maureen C. Ferreira, 70 of Atkinson NH, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Boston on December 16th, 1945. 

Maureen was married to John Ferreira on October 8th, 2000, and the two spent 16 loving years together. She was a registered nurse and longtime caregiver all her life. Maureen loved to read mystery and suspense novels, travel, and go on cruises with friends and loved ones. She also enjoyed long weekends in the summertime at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire. 

She is survived by her husband John Ferreira, her sons Billy Stefanelli, Ray Stefanelli, Steven Stefanelli, and Patrick Fitzgerald, her step-children Helena, Marina, Louie and Nelson, her brother Michael Pinto, and her niece Elaine Potito, along with 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the chapel at the Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH.
