Marjorie W. (Dawe) Ball, age 82, of Salem, NH passed away on July 12, 2017 at home.

She was born on June 21, 1935 in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada to Andrew and Edith (Morgan) Dawe. She received her education in St. John’s at schools run by the church until her graduation in 1953. Marge and SSGT Frank E. Ball were married September 26, 1957 in All Saint’s Church, Foxtrap, NFLD, Canada.

Marge and the children, Judy and James, followed her husband to all his stateside assignments, along with a two year tour of duty at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. While at Clark AFB, she became a very active member of the non-commissioned officers club. Ten pin bowling was her favorite sport, as she excelled, winning first place trophies in doubles and team competitions at every unit and base they were stationed. She worked at K-Mart in Salem, NH as a stocker and cashier for seventeen years, retiring in 1994. Marge was very proud of her children and always looked forward to visiting her daughter in Texas.

Marjorie was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Judy (Ball) Langley; her parents Andrew and Edith (Morgan) Dawe; her sister Mildred F. Lloyd; and her brothers Arthur Dawe, Cecil Dawe and Douglas Dawe.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Frank E. Ball of Salem, NH; her son James A. Ball of Salem, NH; her brother Leonard Dawe and his wife May of Whitbourne, Newfoundland, Canada; her sister Lucy E. Dawe and friend Jams McGrath of Dunville, Newfoundland, Canada; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
