Marcelle Deschene, age 90 of Salem, NH, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2017 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA. 

Marcelle was born July 31, 1927, in Lawrence MA, the daughter of the late Marie (LeBlanc) Boucher and Adelard LeBlanc. Raised by her mother and step father Alexander Boucher.

Marcelle attended Lawrence High School, Lawrence MA.

In 1948, Marcelle married the love of her life Emile Deschene (now deceased) for 65 years of marriage, they resided in Methuen MA for over 30 years.  They also spent many weeks and weekends at their cottage in Meredith NH.  When retired spent over 10 years as snow birds in Pinallas Park Florida.

Marcelle loved dancing, playing cards, going out to eat and spending time with family and friends.  While her family was young Marcelle held part-time jobs at the local department stores.  They loved to send her out to other Stores to price shop.  She also worked full-time as an office clerk for William Barry, Lawrence MA over 10 years.  

Marcelle was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Pelham NH.

Marcelle is survived by her sister, Claire (LeBlanc) Becotte and her husband Ronald Becotte; son, Robert Deschene and his wife Penny of Pelham, NH; son, Donald Deschene and his wife Michelle of Moultonborough, NH; daughter, Donna Hewson and her husband Ronald of Nashua, NH.  Marcelle is blessed with 14 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 17th, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079. A funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 18th, 2017 at St. Patrick's Church, 12 Main Street, Pelham, NH 03076. Burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery in Pelham.
